Recycling Programs
Here at Innovative Waste Management, we offer many programs to tailor to your best needs. Below read more about the recycling programs we offer!
Recycling Yard
The Recycling Yard is a service for local residents of the town to come in and drop off different items. The space is sectioned by the type of item (i.e. paper, metal, paint) and workers will help every step of the way.
Curb-Side Pickup
Every resident is given two curb-side pickups a year. This includes bulky items and a big group of items, making it easier for yourself instead of lugging it all to the recycling yard.
Community Drop-offs
At the local centers (i.e. senior center, library, schools) residents can drop off smaller items such as clothing, toys, and plastic bags. This is an easy way to dispose of these items, as you drive right up, and but it in a labeled bin.
Recycling School Programs
Once a year, around Earth Day, our team goes to local schools to discuss the meaning of recycling and how it is beneficial for the environment. Students win free gifts and learn about the local recycling center.
Composting Solutions
While not as common, we do recommend composting. Below are tips about the general idea and how it is beneficial for our environment!
Yard Waste
At the local recycling yard, we have two separate sections labeled for yard waste such as branches and another for bags of grass. These products are taken to a facility and recycled further.
Food Waste
While we do not directly take food, we provide information and booklets about how to compost food. Give us a call for more information!
Gardening
If you are curious, composting is very good for gardens! We work with local farmers through another program to get wasted food to the gardens. This provides rich soil for farmers to grow at the local shops, and provide you with the best fruits and vegetables from the garden to your table.
E-waste Disposal

E-Waste Pickup
Just like curb-side, residents can schedule a date for pick up of electronics twice a year. This ranges from small electronics to large electronic devices.
Electronic Programs
These programs allow for us to work with companies that recycle E-Waste safely and efficiently. They come once every two weeks to take old, new, or broken down electronics to a facility for better processing.
Donation
The E-Waste drop off allows for newer items to be reused and donated. This is a great idea to reuse good, useful items for families in need, companies and even local schools.
What to dispose of
We offer a range of different items we take at Waste Management Solutions (WMS). Listed below are a range of items we take and recycle!
Bulky Waste
Residents can drop off bulky waste including wood, household furniture, and oversized household products like carpets and mattresses.
Metals
Any scrap metals such as steel, iron, car parts, aluminum, etc can be disposed of into metal bins.
E-Waste
Residents can drop off any electronics from a phone to any size television. Computers, speakers and printers.
Paper and Cardboard
Any paper and cardboard gets placed into the same section. This is a cardboard compactor that compacts all materials and gets sent to a recycling facility, reusing the products.
Plastics
Plastics such as bottles and cans go into one section for recycling, and bags are placed in another and are recycled as well. This is beneficial for the environment so they don't end up in, for example, the ocean.
Household Appliances
We do take many household appliances that get recycled! These include refrigerators, dishwashers, humidifiers, coffeepots, and washing machines. Important to know, when dropping off fridges, the doors must come off.
Hazardous Materials
Always bring hazardous waste to the recycling yard. These include cleaning supplies, weed killer or other yard sprays, fire extinguisher, paint, and other chemicals. All of these materials get recycled SAFELY at a center.
Styrofoam
Whether you got a package or its Christmas time, we take styrofoam all year round. It goes into a bin and is recycled at our facility through a processor and is made into a material that is recycled and reused.
